Before Sofia Vergara became a global superstar through Modern Family, she was already making waves behind the scenes. In 1994, she co-founded Latin World Entertainment (LatinWE) with Luis Balaguer, recognizing the need for better representation of Hispanic talent in Hollywood. Over the years, LatinWE has grown into the leading Hispanic talent management agency in the U.S., offering talent management, branding, endorsements, PR, and social media marketing.
Building on LatinWE’s success, Vergara and Balaguer expanded their vision in 2016, partnering with former Fox Television Studios president Emiliano Calemzuk to launch Raze Latin Media. According to Variety’s Todd Spangler, Raze was created to develop original content for Hispanic American audiences across multiple platforms.
With Raze, Vergara continues her mission to elevate Latin talent, ensuring that their voices and stories are represented in the entertainment industry. From Hollywood to media entrepreneurship, Vergara’s influence extends far beyond the screen, shaping the future of Hispanic entertainment.
