Founded in 2023 by Ashia Livaudais and Michael House, SymbyAI provides a centralized workspace for researchers, integrating papers, code, data, and experimental records. It also features AI-assisted peer review and replication tools, helping reduce the time required for research validation.
A key differentiator of SymbyAI is its proprietary AI system, ensuring that users’ confidential data is not shared with external AI providers like OpenAI or Anthropic. According to Livaudais, the platform was born out of her personal frustration with the slow and outdated processes in scientific research.
The company has already partnered with academic publishers, research organizations, and universities. Livaudais first connected with investors through the gBeta accelerator program under gener8tor, with early support from Antler, which previously backed SymbyAI’s pre-seed round.
With this new funding, SymbyAI plans to expand its platform and strengthen partnerships, further enhancing the way scientific research is conducted.
